KEYPORT TO SHOWCASE CLASSIC CARS
DURING ANTIQUES & COLLECTIBLES STREET FAIR

KEYPORT,NJ – Antique lovers of all persuasions will find the Borough chock full of oldies but goodies on Sunday, September 7, when the Keyport Business Alliance will host both an Antique and Classic Car Show and the downtown’s annual Antiques & Collectibles Street Fair.

The harborfront Borough, known as The Pearl of the Bayshore, is home to a number of antiques dealers and its own Antique Center. Dealers from throughout the tri-state area have been invited to join them to exhibit their wares along West Front Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Fall Antiques & Collectibles Street Fair. Browsers and shoppers can expect to find furniture items large and small, vintage clothing and jewelry, garden ornaments, wicker, and collectibles including linens, mirrors, picture frames and glass bottles.

Street-food vendors and entertainment will offer shoppers a lively atmosphere, while local restaurants and coffeehouses will provide a place to relax between browsing.

Vintage automobile aficionados will find much to admire at the Antique & Classic Car Show being held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stop & Shop/Keyport Plaza Shopping Center, located at Routes 35 and 36, just off Exit 117 of the Garden State Parkway

The Car Show will award a number of trophies, including Mayor’s Choice, Fire Chief’s Choice and Council’s Choice. There will be live music performed by the Jon Caspi Collective and Box of Rox, and Keyport Plaza merchants will be open for business and dining.

Owners with vehicles 25 years or older are invited to put them on display for the show. To register a vehicle to be shown, call Allen Consulting at (732) 946-2711. The first 200 pre-registered cars will receive commemorative dash plaques.

“With back-to-school activities out of the way, the Antiques Street Fair and Car Show are a great way to enjoy a late-summer Sunday,” said Jeff Fink, president of the Keyport Business Alliance.
