AT KEYPORT'S MID-SUMMER STREET FAIR

KEYPORT, N.J. – Live music, entertainment, and street performers will bring a festival-like atmosphere to “the Pearl of the Bayshore,” as the Borough is known, for the Mid-Summer Street Fair the weekend of August 1-3. Hosted by the Keyport Business Alliance, street fair activities and downtown sidewalk sales will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.

West Front Street from Main Street to Broad Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to promote shopping and browsing at a leisurely pace. Keyport merchants will offer special sales on summer merchandise, and arts and crafts vendors, musicians and live performances will be taking place all weekend. Street-festival visitors can dine at one of Keyport’s restaurants or cafes or grab something on the go from food vendors set up on the street for the event.

On Friday night following the street fair, from 6 to 10 p.m., Stop & Shop/Keyport Plaza Shopping Center at Routes 35 and 36 will host a Battle of the Bands, featuring five popular Jersey groups.
